Position Summary: Telly is seeking a talented and experienced Technical Lead to play a key role in driving our TV advertising technology initiatives. As a Technical Lead, you will lead a remote team in designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that enhance the effectiveness and reach of TV advertisements. This role requires a strong foundation in JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, and AWS. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successfully managing 10 or more people and be familiar with both Display and Connected TV (CTV) advertising technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary technical leadership to the development team, ensuring the successful delivery of TV advertising technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements that align with the unique challenges of TV advertising.
  • Demonstrate expertise and familiarity with Google Ad Manager, Display, and Connected TV (CTV) technologies.
  • Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance TV advertising technology solutions.
  • Architect and implement robust, maintainable, and scalable software systems using JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, and AWS.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative development environment within a remote team, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Mentor and coach team members, promoting best practices and ensuring code quality.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful and on-time delivery of TV advertising solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and requirements.
  • Directly manage and lead a team of 10 or more professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, ensuring team members are engaged and motivated.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in TV advertising, providing recommendations for adoption based on the company's goals.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance the TV advertising development process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on TV advertising technology.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, and AWS.
  • Proven experience in designing and building scalable and high-performance systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience managing and leading teams of 10 or more people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in one or more statically typed languages (e.g., Java, C#, C, C++) or dynamically typed languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Ruby).
  • Strong understanding of FinOps (Cloud Financial Management) principles, with the ability to optimize cloud costs while maintaining high performance and scalability.
  • Experience in the TV entertainment domain, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and solutions.
  • Proven experience working with remote and distributed teams across various time zones and cultures, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a global context.
